De-Warping Fish-Eye Images on Embedded Processors
The information consumers receive from automotive back-up cameras must be familiar and easy to interpret. To create more user-friendly outputs, we performed real-time geometric corrections on the video coming from wide-angle lenses or oblique-mounted cameras.

In this automotive vision demonstration, a fish-eye lens rear view camera is connected to a Davinci DM6437 EVM. DSP-optimized algorithms running on the board eliminate fisheye lens distortion and alter the driver's perceived angle of view, providing an improved perspective of potential objects behind the vehicle.
